PFC (Perflourinated Compounds)

These are non-biodegradable synthetic chemicals that are typically used in paints, refrigerants, nonstick cooking pans, pizza boxes, floor protectants, roof treatments and fast food containers. They are persistent contaminants that do not easily degrade and could linger in our bodies of water including lakes, rivers, ocean and streams. It is also a chemical that is known for hormonal disruptions which leads to birth defects, cancerous tumors as well as developmental disorders.


Lead, Mercury, Aluminum, Lead, Cadmium and Arsenic

These heavy metals are poisonous toxins also called neurotoxins as they disrupt our nervous tissue. This also pertains to neurotoxicity. These are chemical compounds that we usually find in bug sprays but did you know that they are also found in American meat and produce of some 50% to 95%? It’s also used to terminate insects, fungi, rodents, weeds and other pests. Since it basically toxic to organisms and plants, it needs to be disposed of correctly so as not to endanger people as well as the environment.


Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

These are organic compounds that are emitted from liquids or solids as gases. These also have adverse effects to our health especially indoors rather than outdoors. The concentration of these gases can go up to 10 times higher indoors. They are typically found in household product including paint, varnish, disinfectants, aerosol sprays, automotive products, cosmetic products and more.



It is considered an extremely harsh substance where its fumes can be dangerous to people who suffers from heart conditions, asthma and other chronic respiratory problems. Chlorine is also known as sodium hypochlorite and is commonly found chlorine bleach, automatic dishwashing, toilet cleaners, mildew removers, chlorinated disinfectant cleansers and more.
